SkyTEM508

SkyTEM has recently launched the SkyTEM508 system – developed with focus on achieving a very high signal to noise ratio at the late TDEM gate center times.

The system includes a total magnetic sensor synchronized with the TDEM transmitter. It can also be combined with a gamme ray spectrometer (GRS) and the crystals can be positioned in the helicopter or on the carrier frame.

As with earlier SkyTEM technology this generation of the SkyTEM system has all sensors on the carrier frame minimizing the distance to the ground and ensuring all data are precisely positioned.

The system can be configured remotely in-flight. High quality off time data has been collected to 35 ms. In case of high signals even later time gates can be measured.

Features

Depth of investigation to more than 500 metres

  • High quality data that is clean and robust enough to process the day it is acquired
  • Significant noise reduction
  • All sensors are mounted on a rigid carrier frame and flown at low altitude ensuring that all measurements are recorded as close to the ground as possible to collect the highest lateral and horizontal resolution obtainable
