Airborne Surveys Worldwide

Company Profile

In the 1990s, the Danish government called on scientists, geophysicists and hydrogeologists to develop an airborne geophysical system capable of delivering detailed high resolution data in the interval between the very near surface and depths of 400 m or more (see Company History). The result is the SkyTEM method – a breakthrough technology with the unique capability to map the interval in fine detail and with the accuracy to match ground geophysical results.

SkyTEM’s advancements in data quality come from an exceptionally high signal to noise ratio – a prerequisite for superb spatial resolution. Free from system bias, SkyTEM begins collecting data at very early times delivering accurate imagery of the near surface as well as at late decay times for mapping deep targets.

Other important differences include:

  • Concurrent shallow and deep imaging
  • Preliminary data, inverted, within 2 days of acquisition
  • Customized to maximize response and depth of penetration
  • Magnetometer at lowest altitude available on a HTDEM platform
  • Elimination of signal drift. One-time calibration saves time and fuel consumption

Our airborne geophysical survey services are available worldwide and include the acquisition and processing of electromagnetic, magnetic and radiometric data. Our experienced geophysicists, technical staff and project managers have delivered superior products and services worldwide and always with safety as the main priority.

SkyTEM continues to develop geophysical technologies through an on-going commitment to R&D. The SkyTEM Method is not based on what others have done and are still doing, rather, we offer unique, innovative and proven technology that enhances accuracy and detail when mapping what lies beneath. We make a significant contribution to your ability to interpret geology and to your confidence in decision making.
